Ft. Dodge Water Team Completes Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Facility Design

CLIVE, Iowa, January 21, 2019 – McClure’s Fort Dodge Water Team has completed the design for a new Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Treatment Facility for the City of Fort Dodge, Iowa. The project is currently out for bid to contractors.

Upon completion of this project, the facility will be the largest RO water treatment facility in the state of Iowa, capable of treating 13.5 million gallons per day. The facility will improve drinking water quality for the Fort Dodge community by removing hardness, radium, and other impurities.

The McClure team led a collaborative design effort with the City of Fort Dodge and their contract operator U.S. Water. McClure, the City, and U.S. Water visited various similar facilities in Ohio and Minnesota to collect design preferences. The RO equipment will be supplied by Harn RO of Venice, Florida.
