Kenny DeYoung Joins McClure
LENEXA, Kansas, October 12, 2018 – Kenny DeYoung, PE, SE, has joined McClure, a Midwest-based Engineering, Surveying, and Planning firm as Project Manager for the Structures group, based out of the Lenexa, Kansas office.
“I am looking forward to growing the structural engineering services of McClure in the Kansas City Metro. I’m also excited to be working with some excellent former co-workers on the structural team,” said DeYoung.
DeYoung previously worked for Trabue, Hansen & Hinshaw Inc. (THHinc) as a Project Engineer performing structural design work for commercial, residential, educational, and industrial projects.
“We’re eager to welcome Kenny into the McClure team,” said Cody Dailey, Vice President of the Structures Team, “with his experience and knowledge, I am confident he will be an asset to our team and our clients.”
DeYoung has a broad range of engineering experience, including site civil and structural engineering for multiple power plants and industrial facilities in the Kansas City Metro area. He also had the opportunity of mentoring staff while working as Manager of the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering at Bibb Engineers.
“I’m often able to draw from my vast experience in approaching engineering problems and opportunities with a level of familiarity and knowledge,” said DeYoung, “my management experience has helped develop my ability to work with and direct a team to achieve success, and I’m eager to use these skills as I begin my role at McClure.”
At McClure, DeYoung will be working alongside the Structures group as well as the Business Development team to create a localized structural engineering presence in the Kansas City Metro area.
DeYoung holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri.
