McClure Engineering Company Welcomes 2017 Interns
CLIVE, Iowa, May 19, 2017 – This week McClure Engineering Company welcomed seven interns to the MEC Team for the summer. The interns are located throughout the North Liberty, Fort Dodge, Red Oak, Clive, and Columbia offices and will be working on teams such as Survey, Design, RPR, and Structural. The interns will play an integral role in helping MEC during the busiest time of the year, as well as gain hands-on experience in their chosen field of study.
Meet our 2017 Interns:
Nick Campbell – Nick is a sophomore at Iowa State University where he studies industrial technology. This is Nick’s second summer with MEC as an RPR intern in the Fort Dodge, Iowa office.
Cal Tauber – Cal is a junior at Wartburg College where he studies Engineering Science and Business Administration. Cal is also interning with RPR in our Fort Dodge, Iowa office.
Kris Bower – Kris is a junior at Iowa State University where he studies Civil Engineering. He will be joining the Survey team in the Clive, Iowa office.
Jake Ledebuhr – Jake is a sophomore at Iowa State University where he studies Civil Engineering. He will be spending the summer with the Clive based Survey team.
Austin Cabalka – Austin is a sophomore at Iowa State University where he studies Civil Engineering and Business. Austin will work with the Survey team in the North Liberty, Iowa office.
Gabriela Clayton – Gabriela is a Master’s Candidate at the University of Missouri where she studies Civil Engineering. She is interning with the Structural team in the Columbia, Missouri office.
Evan Mellott – Evan is a junior at Iowa State University studying Agricultural Engineering. He will be working in the Red Oak, Iowa office with Survey and Rail teams.
“The goal of the internship program is to find talented and passionate students within the field of engineering and give them the tools and knowledge to prepare them for a career in engineering with MEC,” said Kristi Gaskill, Human Resources Business Partner.
McClure Engineering Co.’s internship program is 12-13 weeks and is designed to give engineering students real-life experience as well as opportunities for professional development through training and networking events with professionals and fellow interns.
