GRAND PRAIRIE PARKWAY 1-80 INTERCHANGE

Project Overview

McClure was hired to perform construction staking services for the first diverging-diamond interchange constructed in the state of Iowa. Services included establishing a site-specific GPS control network, storm sewer layout, string-less paving control, new traffic signal interconnect, fencing, and other miscellaneous staking. The construction of this revolutionary new interchange opened a major portion of the City of Waukee for new development, and ultimately improved traffic flow on Interstate 80 while providing a new option for interstate travel for residents in the area. McClure deployed multiple survey crews on this project in order to keep underground crews and numerous paving crews all working at the same time.
