Cheryl Bornheimer-Kelley Earns Road Safety Professional Certification

LENEXA, Kansas, January 9, 2019 – Cheryl-Bornheimer-Kelly, Project Engineer for McClure’s Transportation Group, is one of the first nationally to earn the Road Safety Professional certification.

The Transportation Professional Certification Board, Inc. (TPCB) launched the new certification in 2018. The certification has two levels, and according to TPCB, level one “is for a broad audience of professionals who in the performance of their work make decisions or take actions that potentially impact the safety of the traveling public.“ Level 2 is expected to launch later in 2019. Bornheimer-Kelley was among the first to take and pass the Level 1 exam, administered for the first time in October 2018.

Qualifications for the Level 1 exam include: bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and a minimum of two years professional experience in transportation, highway safety, or public health; or a minimum of four years professional experience in the transportation, highway safety, or public health fields.
