NORTH KANSAS CITY, Missouri, January 3, 2019 – Erin Sheehy, a recent Avila University graduate, has joined McClure, a Midwest-based Engineering, Surveying, and Planning firm, as an Engineering Technician for the Development Services group, based out of the North Kansas City, Missouri office.
Sheehy, who previously worked at Black and Veatch as an Engineering Technician in its telecom department, is excited to utilize her education and skills at McClure. While at Black and Veatch, Sheehy worked alongside engineers to gain experience with drafting and the fundamentals of fiber networks within designated areas using AutoCAD.
“I’m looking forward to strengthening my CAD skills and learning about civil design standards/fundamentals. I also hope to expand my role as a dynamic team player in order to provide the best service delivery,” said Sheehy of her goals at McClure, “I want to continue to improve communities and look forward to making lives better within the engineering industry.”
At McClure, Sheehy will be developing civil design projects alongside engineers in the Development Services Group. “I have always had a deep interest in being a part of projects that I can see grow from the ground up,” said Sheehy, “I’m eager to see how civil projects impact our communities.”
Sheehy holds a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Biology and Environmental Science from Avila University.
