Chad Meyer Joins McClure

CLIVE, Iowa, June 25, 2019 – Chad Meyer, PE has joined McClure, a Midwest-based Engineering, Surveying, and Planning firm, as Senior Bridge Engineer for the Transportation Group, based out of the Clive office.

Meyer brings 19 years of experience specializing in the design and rehabilitation of steel, prestressed, and reinforced concrete bridges, and transportation-related structures, including a deep understanding of Iowa DOT bridge design policies, procedures, and standards. At McClure, Meyer will be working with the Transportation and Bridge Teams on expanding McClure’s transportation services provided in Iowa.

Prior to joining McClure, Meyer worked at Jacobs for 13 years as a Senior Bridge Engineer and Project Manager, designing and managing projects for transportation-related services. Although the majority of Meyer’s 19 years in the industry have been spent working in Iowa and on Iowa Department of Transportation projects, he also has experience working with several other states DOT’s such as Colorado, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, Texas, Wisconsin, and Virginia.

“I am excited about having a hands-on role establishing and growing McClure’s bridge practice in Iowa and look forward to providing additional services to existing clients and the opportunity to develop new clients,” said Meyer of his role at McClure.

Meyer holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Iowa and Ohio.
