NORWALK WATER SYSTEM HYDRAULIC MODEL

NORWALK WATER SYSTEM HYDRAULIC MODEL & MASTER PLAN

Working with City of Norwalk Public Works, McClure completed a comprehensive water system hydraulic model, developing an existing system baseline model to determine current system deficiencies upon the collection of system data. Through model development and testing, McClure identified an immediate project, at minimal cost, which provides significant improvement to the distribution system and fills the water tower under extended peak demand periods. Following development of future population and water demand projections, future system scenarios were modeled to determine future improvements necessary for the system.  In addition, a Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) was developed to prioritize existing and future system infrastructure needs which includes both public and private sources of financing as the City continues to grow.
